Flying Dutchman is ski-in, ski-out by shuttle. The complimentary Keystone resort shuttle stop is on site, at the building, and runs to River Run Village and the base areas — so you get to the lifts and back without moving the car or paying to park. What you cannot do is click in at the door: the building sits 1.88 mi from the River Run Gondola in a straight line, in the pines of residential West Keystone, and there is no ski-back trail to it.

Where is the ski shuttle stop?

On site, at the building. The complimentary Keystone resort shuttle picks up here and runs to River Run Village and the base areas, so you can leave the car parked for the day and still be first on the hill. The free Summit Stage county bus is the other option, and it reaches Dillon, Frisco, Silverthorne and Breckenridge.

What is a lock-off, and which one should I book?

Flying Dutchman is one residence that sells three ways. The three-bedroom is the whole thing. The two-bedroom is its main side — kitchen, dining room, living area and patio. The studio is the other side, a private suite with its own entrance and kitchenette. Book the three-bedroom if you want the whole footprint for up to eight; book either half on its own if you do not, in which case the connecting door between them stays locked and the other side may have different guests in it.

How many people does Flying Dutchman sleep?

Eight, when the whole three-bedroom residence is booked. The main two-bedroom side sleeps four on its own and the lock-off studio sleeps two. Those are not additive: the two halves together are the three-bedroom.

Is there a pool and a hot tub?

Yes — the complex has a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub and a dry sauna, open year-round and shared by all three residences.

How far is the gondola?

The River Run Gondola is 1.88 mi from the building in a straight line — a few minutes by car, or on the complimentary resort shuttle that serves West Keystone. River Run Village itself is 1.71 mi.

Is parking included?

Yes, free on-site parking, plow-cleared through the winter. The three-bedroom includes up to three vehicles; the two-bedroom and the studio include fewer, so check the residence before you arrive with a convoy. AWD or 4WD with proper snow tyres is strongly recommended from December through April.

Are pets allowed?

The studio suite accepts pets. The two-bedroom and the three-bedroom do not. Confirm through the Gilson guest portal before booking.

How high is it, and does that matter?

West Keystone sits at roughly 9,200 feet. Plan for the altitude on arrival — hydrate and pace the first day, particularly if you have driven up from Denver the same afternoon.
