On Thursday, December 31, 2026, the torchlight parade descends to the Peak 9 base area of Breckenridge Ski Resort at 6:00 PM; fireworks follow around 9:30 PM for approximately 15 minutes, weather permitting.

Published resort operating hours (opens in a new tab)Every residence under “Walk to the parade” is within walking distance of the Peak 9 base. Miners Candle, 800 Columbine and River Mountain Lodge are a few minutes away in town; the Tyra residences and Blue Sky, at the Snowflake lift and the gondola, are about a 20–25 minute walk. Snow and ice can change the walk; choose footwear and a route that work for everyone in your group.
Residences at the Peak 7 and Peak 8 bases are not within walking distance of the Peak 9 parade. Arrange your outward and return transport before leaving.
Mountain View Summit Lodge is a drive from town. Book a ride or choose a driver for the evening, and allow for winter roads on the way back.

Start with the walk-to residences if walking to the parade is part of your holiday. Open a residence and enter your dates for its price; every quote is booked direct and all in, with taxes, damage protection and the card fee included.

A full refund if you cancel within 24 hours; 50% of the stay and tax back until 60 days before arrival (October 27 for a December 26 arrival); non-refundable after that. Leave the car. In town it is a few minutes to the Peak 9 base; from the Snowflake lift and the gondola, about 20–25 minutes. Those marked Fireworks view look onto them from home.

Gear-ready residences
You arrive on December 26, the start of the busiest stretch of the holidays. Our residences are gear-ready through Ski Butlers: skis, snowboards, boots and helmets delivered and fitted at the residence by a tech, with swaps brought to you all week. Gear attaches to your reservation, and children are sized alongside everyone else.
The skis are Parlor 96s, designed by Wagner and Parlor exclusively for Ski Butlers; the snowboards come from Whitespace, Shaun White’s label; Rossignol covers everything from first-timers to experts, with junior sizes for the children.
Order a day early. Ski Butlers will deliver to your ski locker at the resort or inside your residence the day before, so the first morning of the week starts on the snow. Gilson guests book gear direct, delivered to the door.
Christmas week is December 19–26 — seven nights, Saturday to Saturday. New Year is December 26–January 3 — eight nights, Saturday to Sunday. The two meet on December 26: one week checks out, the other checks in. Other dates depend on the residence: open one and its panel shows its own arrival days and minimum stay. Availability and arrival rules are confirmed for each residence before booking.
